On, with a parent and/or educator permission, children can discover new books, videos, sample chapters from books, sample audio chapters and educational activities. Parents and educators also participate by monitoring the children’s reading of sample chapters, listening to sample audio chapters, educational activities and watching of videos, as well as reading the educational activities and sample chapters; watching the videos and listening to audio chapters themselves.

We respect and protect all of our users' privacy and have built a safe website to support and promote reading activities of children, 13 years of age and younger. Because our users are 13 and younger, we take extra precautions to keep everyone on safe and protected. Our information practices are designed to comply with the United States Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Registration and Account Information does not allow children 13 years of age and younger to have an account and join The Nocturnal Brigade until their parent, legal guardian, or teacher creates one for them. If you are 13 years of age or younger, you may not sign up for on your own. A parent or legal guardian must provide a valid email and after confirming that information, we allow them to open an account for the child.

We also do not require, nor collect email addresses from the children.

If a child accesses our site and wishes to register, they are able to enter an email address for their parent, so that we can contact and notify the parent of their interest. After the email is sent to the parent, the parent email address is deleted. Parents can elect to register on the site and become a member.
